Charles Koppelman

Charles Koppelman is a writer, film director, and opera producer. He has collaborated with Bill Moyers, Michael Moore, Walter Murch, Kanye West, Delroy Lindo, and Placido Domingo, among others. Charles is author of the book Behind the Seen about film editor Walter Murch. Charles recently produced The Organizer, a feature documentary about Wade Rathke and the national grassroots organization, ACORN. His other films include a portrait of composer Michael Nyman, a real time investigation of a money mule in Texas, and the story of squatters in Philadelphia. He is currently in production on a documentary about a whistleblower in Indonesia who brought down a powerful attorney who ran a Ponzi scheme for thirty years. Charles is the producer and librettist of Cubanacan, the first new Cuban opera in 50 years. He resides in northern California.
